WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN
At ISR, your child’s safety is our first priority. Each lesson is uniquely tailored to your child’s needs. Because every child learns at his or her own pace, your child will be gently guided through each skill level.
A child 6-12 months learns:
· To hold their breath under water
· To roll onto their back
· To float unassisted, rest and breathe until help arrives
· To perform these Self-Rescue ™ skills first in a swim diaper and then while fully clothed

A child 1-6 years learns:
· To hold their breath underwater
· Swim with their head down
· Roll onto their back and float, rest and breathe
· Roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool, crawl out or be rescued by an adult
· To perform these Self-Rescue™ first in a swim diaper/bathing suit and then fully clothed

Lesson structure:
· Lessons are individual, one-on one instruction
· Lessons are daily Monday through Friday
· Lessons are a maximum of 10 minutes daily
· For children 6-12 months, lessons last an average of 3-5 weeks
· For children 1-6 years, lessons last an average of 4-6 weeks
