My name is Holly Nelson, and I live in Gilbert, AZ. I married in 1994 and had twin daughters, Brooke and Tatum in 1996. I found ISR when the girls were almost 2 years of age, and once I put them through the program, I knew I had to train to be an Instructor. I trained in 1999, and discovered my passion for working with young children. At that time I was staying home with my girls, and felt that this would allow me to continue to stay at home with them, and allow me to do something I love. Throughout my career with ISR, I have trained over 30 instructors, and 3 Master Instructors. From 2007 to 2009, I also handled recruiting for ISR for the West Coast Region. I have trained most of the Instructors and all of the Master Instructors in the Phoenix Market. All though I love training Instructors and Master Instructors, I love working with my students first and foremost, and am truly blessed to be able to make a difference in children’s lives.
Currently, I am the only Senior Master Instructor on the West Coast of the United States. You may be asking yourself "What does that mean to me as a parent?" Because I have trained most of the Instructors, and Master Instructor in AZ, I have a higher level of Education & training in the ISR technique. I work with a lot of challenging students, because of my experience. Additionally, because of this experience I have very happy students in lessons, and well educated parents about ISR, and water Safety.
In my spare time I enjoy volunteering as the Treasurer for Positive Impact. Positive Impact is a Non profit organization in AZ that helps families that's needs are greater than their means because of a medical situation. Our primary fund raiser is London's Run, and I am very proud to say that myself and 2 of our local instructors have chosen to sponsor the run this year. Additionally, I am first aid and CPR certified, and maintain certification through Infant Swimming Resource as a Senior Master Instructor. I hope that I get the opportunity to work with you and your children!
